Consultancy Services
Our mission at Serendipity Consulting is to assist our clients in achieving organisational stability and growth.
Are you an experienced clinician but lacking business acumen?
Are you confused on how to scale your business up?
Are you battling to develop and refine systems that work, are implemented and create efficiencies?
Do you feel like you have been doing the same thing for the same results for as long as you can remember?
Have you been told what to do but not supported in implementing these changes?
At Serendipity Consulting we like to work as an extension to your team.
We recognise that no two healthcare practices are alike, even within the same modalities, which is why we'll make certain that we fully understand your business and objectives. This may be either project by project or longer term depending on your needs.
Practice Reset
You may have attempted to plan for your healthcare practice in the past but failed to achieve the desired results. Many of our clients are aware of the importance of strategic planning or have been told so, but they are unsure where to begin and find the process intimidating.
Working with Serendipity Consulting through the practice reset process has the advantage of establishing what you want from the process before we start working with you. What are the desired results for you and your practice from this investment, and who are the appropriate stakeholders to include?
We collaborate with our clients and key practice stakeholders to learn about their practice, assist them in identifying and articulating their business goals, and then design specific strategies and detailed plans to achieve their objectives.
Our client reviews all planning materials to ensure that everyone is on the same page and agrees with the strategy.
If preferred, we'll continue to assist you and your team with the implementation of your Practice Reset Plan, or we'll hand it over to you and your team and be available to help and advise on an as-needed basis. We're flexible in our approach, as we are with all of our services, and we adjust to our clients needs.

Practice Health Check
If you don't get enough sleep, are stressed, or are dealing with personal issues, you are simply not functioning at your best, and your healthcare practice is no exception.
Your strategy may be flawless, but if your execution falls short, you must be aware of the problem so that you can correct it and improve the health of your practice. To that end, we've created the Practice Health Check.
The Practice Health Check examines not just your practice's financial performance but also the environment in which it operates.
Practice owners should undertake annual health checks at the absolute least, and ideally every three months.
Practice Reporting
How is your practice going?
Was your first response "good," "so-so," or "not so good" when you first read the question? Was your response based on facts or just a gut instinct about how things are going?
It is critical for all practice owners to be able to track and respond to basic queries about their company. To accomplish so, you should track your practice using reporting that includes key performance indicators (e.g. KPIs).
We understand that this can be a confrontational situation. Some people refuse to look at the statistics because they include an error. We can, however, go past that. We recognise that if things aren't going well, it's best to know now rather than wait until the end of the financial year or later, when it's too late and out of our hands.
With our clients, we use reporting to help answer questions like;
Are you making money and tracking to target?
How many patients/clients are coming into the clinic?
Where are your new clients/patients coming from?
Are you retaining them or do you have a leaky bucket?
Are they following through with their recommended treatment plan from clinicians?
What are your overheads and are they in control?
Is the new service or equipment you have introduced providing a return on investment?
Are the policies and procedures put into place working and helping your business to grow?
Are your staff happy?
If you don’t have timely and accurate answers to these questions, your practice, could be at risk of not surviving into the future.
Ok, now the secret to reporting
Drum roll please. The secret to healthcare practice reporting is to be consistent. Sorry if you were expecting more; that’s really it. We work with a lot of practices and the number one issue we see is that practices look at different reporting every week, every month, and every year. Some practices also get hung up on the specific methodology of a report.
Consistency is important because the reporting will be pulled in the same way and can be compared consistently. Moreover, looking at reporting at a regular interval over an extended period of time gives enough time to see if changes you are making are having an effect.
Our recommendation is that all practices at the start of every quarter set goals and KPI’s targets for the upcoming quarter based off your yearly plan. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, we are able to help you with this.
Each week these would be recorded with a mid-month check in should be scheduled to stop and review those stats and have a look at whether you’re heading for the perfect financial outcome that you set, or whether you’re lagging. If it is done mid-month, then it gives another couple of weeks to turn things around.
Want to expand your healthcare practice and handle issues before they become a problem, but lack the time or skills to do so?
What if we removed this burden off your shoulders?
